Just For Kicks Soccer Camps and Score Soccer Academy Camps Program Description:
Time:
Camp JFK is a full day camp Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Children can be dropped off any time after 8:30am and must be picked up by 4:30pm at the latest.
Activities:
Soccer is the main focus of the camp with fun activities for specific age groups and skill levels. The camps caters to all skill levels. In the camp, the players will participate in fun games and a mini-tournament. Included in the daily activities are a movie-a-day (usually soccer themed), prizes and awards, indoor and outdoor activities. The camp uses a similar program each of the available weeks. Other rarer activities may include baseball, softball, frisbee, hockey, volleyball, basketball, martial arts, all with a soccer twist. Different JFK staff may be available each week, therefore giving the program a uniqueness from week to week.
Bring:
Participants must bring their own lunch except on Friday in which a free pizza lunch is offered. Bring drinks, snacks, sunblock, hat, running shoes (preferably soccer shoes), shin guards (a must), soccer ball and any other necessities the participant may require such as an asthma inhaler or epi-pen. Trained JFK staff supervise the participants at all times including at lunch.
Weather:
If it rains, activities will continue indoors or in adequate shelter. If it is very hot, activities will continue in shaded areas.
Age & Skill:
Campers are grouped by age and skill levels. Registration is available to boys and girls from 6 to 13 years old. In order to maintain a good camper to coach ratio, there is limited availability in each age group. Approximately one third of the campers are female.
Safety:
Security of the campers in maintained at all times. The activities are fun and safe. The instructors, coaches and supervisors are properly screened by JFK. All participants are covered by the JFK insurance. Our Instructors consists of certified coaches, seasoned trainers, professional soccer enthusiasts, staff educated in first-aid, child care and a vast number of other talents.
Cost:
See fees for weekly costs (depending on the program and other specials being offered). You may enroll for one week or more. Enrollment is limited.
Refunds:
There is a $25 admin fee on transfers and NSF cheques. No refunds (see refund policy).
Volunteers:
If your child is in high school, he or she can volunteer at the camp. You can get a volunteer application at our website. As a volunteer, you will receive a volunteer t-shirt and credit towards the high school Community Involvement Hours Program.
