The Scarborough Cup
Fun Day is the day the finals are played for the Scarborough Cup championship.  Opposing U14 XP All-Star coaches shake hands.  The good nature of the coaches help set the tone for the games.  A great game was played, as they all were.

Only the XP divisions have play-offs at JFK.  Recreational divisions don't have play-offs.  We find it too stressful for beginners that should be having fun and not worrying about winning or losing a championship.

Check out some highlights from the XP games.  By the way, XP stands for eXperienced Players.

The youngest age in the XP All-Star league.

These U06 players have skill.

Perfect textbook header coming up.

Shoot-out time.

Nice save.

Keeper knocks ball to the side.  Great save.

We won!

They're not Avatars or Smurfs, it's the U08 Royal Blue team.

Four blue players can't beat this gold player.

Players high five parents after the game.

Golazo!  Goooooal !

Great shielding job.

Parents cheer in the background.

One of the assistant coaches cheers with the team.

Half time strategy talk.

More half time strategy talk.

Who's holding who?

Nine pin bowling, 2 pins are down.  They gave it their all.

Great game.

Scarborough Cup Champions!

This keeper was the star of the game as well as in the shoot out of the semi-finals.

Gold player on the far right side thinks the play is offside as the ref glances to the linesman.

Nice jumping header.

It went in but as you can see he's offside & the linesman (far left) put his flag up.  Sorry, no goal.

How many referees does it take to officiate a game? Nine if you include the President and Vice President not in the photo.  Great job refs!
