Girls Got Game - G3/ICSL League for Summer 2013
JFK has the usual girls only recreational league for girls 4 to 14 years old and a new league (G3) for girls 11 to 18 years old - something more competitive. Girls Got Game League: For girls born 1995 to 2001. Girls only league with full field, full goals, 11-a-side games, offsides, championships, play-offs, and it’s the same price as Recreational or XP. Girls play in the appropriate age division. U13 games are Tuesday evenings (and Thursday evenings), U15/U18 games are Monday evenings (and possibly Thursday evenings). The Monday and Tuesday games are in the Agincourt area, the Thursday games are in the Port Union area. Practices are at Thomson area. Everyone receives a uniform, ball & trophy. Limited availability.
Girls Got Game Free Skills Training
Last year some 800 girls played soccer at JFK, so this year we are offering an additional training program for girls. JFK will have a spring & summer skills development program just for girls ages 8 to 18. Learn how to play like an athlete from experienced certified competitive coaches. Learn, develop, practice, play. It’s free for all girls ages 8 to 18 in Scarborough. The Skills Training program is played throughout the summer and there are some introductory classes in the Spring, also for free. Girls that belong to JFK or a co-operating club get to participate for free. Girls that belong to another club can participate for only $40 to cover additional administration & insurance costs. Priority of the limited availability is given to current members and co-ops.
